PMPA Management Update ’08

The Precision Machined Products Association invites you to participate in this year’s Management Update Conference, to be held Thursday, February 28, to Saturday, March 1, 2008, at the Astor Crowne Plaza in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Originally planned for 2007, the conference was rescheduled for February 2008 to give the hotel and city time to recover from Hurricane Katrina. PMPA’s Management Update Committee chair, Katherine Coffman, president of Champion Screw Machine Engineering, Inc., visited New Orleans earlier this year, along with the rest of the committee. According to Ms. Coffman, “Downtown New Orleans, especially the French Quarter where the host hotel is located, has dramatically improved. During our last committee meeting in May 2007, we toured the French Quarter and riverfront where we found a vibrant city ready to host Management Update.”

In the month of November, New Orleans will host the American College of Surgeons, International Association of Chiefs of Police, Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International, American Academy of Ophthalmology, Diversified Business Communications and many other groups. PMPA’s Director of Marketing & Communications Rob Kiener has spoken with other meeting planners from various associations across the United States. He says, “Every association I spoke with these past few months said what a wonderful time their attendees had and how they wouldn’t hesitate to hold another conference in New Orleans.”
