Under the agreement, Verisurf will offer complete metrology solutions that combine its model-based inspection and measurement software, training and live technical support with Hexagon’s portable CMMs. Users can now receive single-source consultation, quoting, transactional support and relationship management for complete metrology solutions.
Verisurf software combined with Hexagon portable CMMs delivers automated, time-saving workflows with repeatable process control. Verisurf is a measurement software built on a full-featured 3D CAD/CAM platform committed to intelligent model-based definition (MBD). This enables users to perform measurement workflows in a seamless CAD environment and maintain model-based digital continuity. The Verisurf Device Interface (VDI) communicates with and operates all Hexagon portable CMMs to measure and collect data with industry-leading precision. SMW Autoblok USA Appoints New President, CEO
SMW Autoblok Group has appointed Larry Robbins as the company’s new president and CEO of its U.S. corporation.
Robbins started at the company in May 2007, and was promoted to eastern regional sales manager less than a year later. As of 2019, Robbins has occupied the position of president of Autoblok’s commercial division, where he is responsible for all strategic sales and marketing initiatives as well as overseeing the company’s North America sales team. He also oversees various projects internationally. Robbins is said to have over 35 years of experience in machine tool manufacturing.
Tsugami America Opens New Technical Center in Minnesota
Tsugami America has announced the grand opening of its new Technical Center in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota.
This will be the third Tsugami America technical center, joining the Fort Wayne, Indiana and Fullerton, California locations, alongside the company’s corporate headquarters in Windsor, Connecticut. The new facility features a large working showroom floor for turnkeys, test cuts and training.
The technical center will also be home to Tsugami America’s local distributor, Morris Midwest. Together, the teams at Morris Midwest and Tsugami America will provide service and support to the local manufacturing community.

Okuma America Corp. Announces New Personnel Appointments

Okuma America Corp. has announced new personnel appointments to direct and support the company’s strategic growth initiatives in the Americas.
Timothy Thiessen was promoted to the role of senior vice president of sales and marketing. In this new role, Thiessen will continue to lead the Okuma America sales, product management, marketing and corporate accounts teams and partnerships with Okuma distributors throughout the Americas region.
Summer Cline was appointed to the role of senior vice president of finance. In this role she will continue to be responsible for the company’s finances and lead the accounting, HR and IT teams. Cline previously served as vice president of finance at Okuma.
Simon Schneider joined Okuma America Corporation in March 2024 in the role of director of Okuma Factory Automation. He will be responsible for leading Okuma America’s Factory Automation Division as the group develops and expands a comprehensive line of CNC automation solutions to be used with Okuma machine tools.
Mike Hampton was appointed to the role of field service senior manager. In this new role, Hampton will lead the field service group to provide comprehensive service to Okuma users in the Americas.
Lyndex-Nikken Appoints New Sales Representatives in the US, Mexico
Lyndex-Nikken has announced a number of new appointments, including Russ Reinhart as the company’s new U.S. national sales manager; John Kusinko as the new regional sales representative in New York, New Jersey, Delaware and Eastern Pennsylvania; and Luis Mejia as the new regional sales representative in Mexico.
Reinhart has over three decades of experience in the metalworking industry and brings a wealth of expertise and leadership to his new role of U.S. national sales manager. Reinhart’s background in manufacturing encompasses various roles in addition to sales, including welding, machining, metal forming, engineering, project management, product management and distributor management.
Kusinko, regional sales representative in New York, New Jersey, Delaware and Eastern Pennsylvania, has over 20 years of experience in the machine tool industry. Throughout his tenure, Kusinko has gained market knowledge in aerospace, medical, tool and die packaging, defense and job shops.
Luis Mejia, regional sales representative in Mexico, has 13 years of experience in the machine tool industry, delivering solutions tailored to meet the evolving needs of customers across diverse sectors. Mejia’s experience spans toolholders, tool clamping devices, measuring and inspection machines, tool management software, smart cabinets and Industry 4.0 applications.
