Seco Tools has appointed Mia Bökmark vice president of the company’s newly formed Product Management and Research & Development division. She will report to Stefan Steenstrup, Seco president, and become a member of the Seco Management Group.
The company says Bökmark is tasked with helping the organization create a stronger connection to customers’ needs as well as speeding up the development and deployment of new products, services and solutions. One clear aim is to create an alignment with the other divisions within Sandvik Machining Solutions to increase back-end collaboration.
Bökmark earned a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden. Most recently, she served as an executive management advisor in her own company. She has also held managing positions within SKF for almost 30 years, including director of SKF group marketing; global business and product development manager for SKF’s automotive aftermarket; and general manager SKF Vehicle Parts, Gothenburg.
“I am happy and excited to join Seco Tools within the Product Management and R&D Department,” Bökmark says. “I am looking forward to working with a dedicated team whilst ensuring an open collaboration within the company and beyond.”
With its origins in Fagersta, Sweden, and a presence in more than 75 countries, Seco Tools is a global provider of metalcutting solutions for indexable milling, solid milling, turning, holemaking, threading and tooling systems.
