Drew Peer, Regional Sales Manager, DP Technology

After earning a degree in mechanical engineering, Drew began his career in manufacturing in 2011 as an applications engineer for DP Technology. In this position, he got hands-on experience programming and cutting many different parts in an array of manufacturing environments. Drew also facilitated Esprit CAM software training for more than 750 new and existing customers across North America. He created and maintained the training curriculum and support strategies for the Mori Seiki Esprit Mapps project, which resulted in more than 8,000 licenses of Esprit being sold. In addition, Drew showed early signs of strong leadership helping interview, train and develop DP Technology’s applications engineer onboarding process.

In 2015 Drew was promoted to solutions specialist/manufacturing engineer. In this role he applied his knowledge to design, program and manufacture parts on many different CNC machines including multi-spindle/multi-channel mill-turns and Swiss-type lathes. He created working relationships with key industry partners and customers by performing technical demos, working on special projects and representing the company at events. Eventually, his go-getter attitude and strong technical skills led him into a sales role.

Drew’s current position as a regional sales manager serving Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky and Tennessee has allowed him to expand his relationships with industry partners, dealers and OEMs. During his first year, he grew his region by 35%. He received his Certified Manufacturing Technology Sales Engineer (CMTSE) certification from AMT in 2017.

“We see a bright future for Drew and know he will be an excellent leader in the manufacturing industry for years to come,” his nominator says.
