The Precision Machining Technology Show (PMTS) starts today and runs through Thursday. Visit pmts.com to learn more.

I get it. If you’re the owner or manager of a machine shop, you’re busy. And it can be tough to carve time out of your schedule to work on your shop instead of in your shop. However, many have recognized the value of taking time to attend the Precision Machining Technology Show (PMTS), which starts today and runs through Thursday, to discover new technology, equipment and ideas that can help their companies become more efficient and profitable.

I and others on the PM team are excited to be here in Cleveland to walk the show, too. And, like attendees, we’re jazzed to discover the same types of technology, equipment and ideas that we can turn into articles, blog posts, videos and so on to present to those in our industry who might not be able to break away to attend the show.

Senior Editor Lori Beckman and I discovered a variety of technology at PMTS 2021. Now we’re on to PMTS 2023…

PMTS 2023 is the event’s largest in terms of number of exhibitors at 322. This article explains what you can expect to encounter there. Sure, there’s equipment, but there are also educational opportunities, networking opportunities, and, heck, a way to win a custom MLB-quality bat that you can have branded however you like. (Like I did…)

Our plan is to create “Tech Brief Videos” similar to what we did after PMTS 2021. You can find examples of those at PM’s YouTube channel. Of course, we’ll also be creating stories about the technology we discovered at the show for upcoming issues.

PMTS runs today through Thursday, so there’s still time to attend. Visit pmts.com to learn more about what you can expect to see here.
