Alliance Manufacturing's Cleaning Systems Use Safe Solvents

Alliance Manufacturing Inc., the U.S. distributor for Italian-based manufacturer ILSA-MC Srl, offers enclosed vacuum degreasing machines designed for precision and critical parts cleaning applications. Vacuum degreasing is said to be an environmentally conscious alternative to traditional open-top vapor degreasing equipment. The process uses solvents to remove contaminants from manufactured parts without the use of water or scrubbing.

CTG’s Parts Washing Machine Supports Lean Manufacturing

Cleaning Technologies Group (CTG) introduces its Ransohoff LeanVeyor parts washing system, which is engineered for lean manufacturing while reducing floor space requirements and providing optimized cleaning and drying performance. All stages of the machine are insulated and compartmentalized with individually adjustable exhaust dampers, reducing system heat loss. According to CTG, the entire unit has been engineered and manufactured from the ground up to be flexible, durable, simple to operate and easy to maintain.

Versatile Sandblasting for Deburring Intricate Geometries

The microscale, consistent feed and pinpoint accuracy of Comco’s MicroBlasting sandblasting systems is well suited for deburring intricate geometries, texturing to a sharp delineation and removing thin coatings and films — all without causing dimensional changes to the underlying part. MicroBlasting (sandblasting on a microscale) uses small nozzles and a mixture of compressed dry air and abrasive to alter surface finishes and remove unwanted material.

Cool Clean’s Omega 1500 Provides Powerful, Portable Cleaning

Cool Clean’s Omega 1500 CO₂ spray cleaning module is a powerful, but portable CO₂ cleaning devise. This tabletop cleaning module delivers a precisely controlled stream of solid CO₂ particles at high velocities to the designated part or surface. By selecting the appropriate nozzles, the device is capable of cleaning dust, debris and light oils from plastic, metal or glass parts, as well as laser-weld soot and solder flux removal.

Multisolvent 100 Vacuum Vapor Degreaser Provides Contactless Cleaning

Firbimatic’s Multisolvent 100 vacuum vapor degreaser is the flagship Firbimatic cleaning system for precision parts. With applications in the most demanding industrial sectors, the machine is especially useful for cleaning parts in the turning, precision mechanics, medical and aerospace industries. It works using modified alcohols and isoparaffinic hydrocarbon solvents in class A III.

NMP's Parts Cleaning Systems Pass Upcoming Regulations

National Machine Products (NMP) is a manufacturer focused on environmentally conscious products designed to help prepare and sustain manufacturers for the upcoming environmental regulations in North America. Its newest line of parts washers include ITF Parts Washing Equipment. These parts washers from Europe (both modified alcohol or hydrocarbon-based and aqueous) are said to exceed EPA regulations that will be enforced over the next several years against solvent-based, open-top parts washing systems. According to NMP, these units are proven in Europe, where regulations are in place, and provide customers clean and dry parts with no residual solvents.

Parker's Extractor Machines Remove Range of Contaminants

Parker’s SmogHog mist and fume extractor machines are designed to protect employees, improve plant performance and help shops remain compliant with regulations. Parker’s product range includes electrostatic precipitators (ESPs) and mist-collection technology featuring the company’s Peach Saturated Depth Coalescing technology. Parker says it prioritizes matching the solution to each user’s unique application, as different processes and fluids create a variety of contaminants and challenges.

Sita’s CleanoSpector Measures Part Cleanliness

Sita Process Solutions’ CleanoSpector is a mobile, robust handheld measuring device used for contact-free detection of residual contamination on parts. The company says the device is well suited for cleanliness inspection of parts to assure product quality as well as prior to follow-up processes, including gluing, painting, coating, welding, hardening and bonding. Unwanted, filmic contamination — such as oils, greases, cooling lubricants and release agents — are measured by determining the fluorescence intensity.
