Precision Plus Wins Wisconsin Manufacturer Accolades
Precision Plus was one of nine Wisconsin companies declared winners of the 34th annual Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year (MOTY) Awards for outstanding achievements in manufacturing. Precision Plus was named Wisconsin’s Manufacturer of the Year for Investment in the Next Generation. A total of 28 manufacturing companies in Wisconsin were named finalists for the annual honors. The nine winning companies — who represent the state’s robust and diverse manufacturing industry — were honored for outstanding achievements in manufacturing.
Big Daishowa, Customers Support Local Schools
Big Daishowa has issued nearly $30,000 in tooling certificates to high schools, vocational schools, colleges and universities through its Tools for Schools program. To give back to the local communities, Big Daishowa customers selected a school of their choice to receive a tooling certificate valued at 20% of qualifying orders from November 2022 through January 2023. The certificates are redeemable for any Big Daishowa product, including toolholders, boring tools, cutting tools and workholding products.
Paperless Parts Moves Headquarters, Hires Two New Executives
Paperless Parts has moved its company headquarters to 60 State Street in Boston, Massachusetts, more than tripling its footprint. Additionally, the company has announced two key executive hires: Alan Hawley has joined the company as senior vice president of sales, and Jason Luce has joined as senior vice president of engineering. Hawley is said to bring a strong operational background and track record for building and leading high-functioning sales teams. Luce will oversee the development of Paperless Parts’ core quoting platform, as well as its emerging e-commerce functionality.
Rollomatic Names Joe Kane New CEO
Rollomatic Inc., a subsidiary of Rollomatic Holding Switzerland, has appointed Joe Kane to CEO of Rollomatic Inc. Rollomatic is a builder of CNC tool/cutter and peel grinding machines as well as laser cutting machines based in Le Landeron, Switzerland. Its North American headquarters is in Mundelein, Illinois, featuring a machine demonstration and customer support facility. Its sister company, Strausak Inc., is located in the same building.

United Grinding Expands Distribution Network in Mexico, US
United Grinding North America has expanded its distribution network with the addition of Intermaq, a machine tool distributor in Mexico, and the addition of Methods Machine Tools to two more U.S. states. Intermaq will represent the full line of equipment offered by United Grinding North America, and will be instrumental in expanding the footprint of the precision CNC grinding market in Mexico.
Arch Cutting Tools Acquires Custom Carbide Cutter
Arch Cutting Tools Corp. (Arch), a manufacturer of high-performance custom tooling, is acquiring Custom Carbide Cutter Inc. (CCCI), a provider of cutting tools to manufacturers and distributors located in Cincinnati. Arch is based in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, and serves the medical, aerospace, defense, automotive, energy, agriculture and general industrial markets. As a mid-sized, full service cutting tool manufacturer, Arch has facilities across the United States, and the company says it is dedicated to engineering high-performance standard and custom tooling.
