As part of two acquisitions, Bourn & Koch and Mollart Machinery became part of the InCompass portfolio in 2023. Through these acquisitions, Mollart Machinery operations and field service support, previously out of Chessington, U.K., have transitioned to Bourn & Koch out of Rockford, Illinois.

Mollart designs and manufactures deep hole drilling machines. Its product line includes gundrilling, BTA deep-hole drilling machines, microdrilling, multispindle pellet die drilling and more.

Bourn & Koch manufactures blanchard grinders, gear hobbers and gear shapers. With a focus on custom machine tool development and manufacturing, Bourn & Koch says it is ready to take on the manufacturing of Mollart deep-hole drilling machines. Along with the manufacturing of Mollart machinery, Bourn & Koch is prepared to service existing machines already in the field.

Bourn & Koch began the process to transition production to its Rockford plant at the beginning of 2024. The field service team at Bourn & Koch has already assisted in numerous installations for Mollart machine tools, both in the U.S. and in Europe.

With many of Mollart’s customers already located in North America, offering field service and support out of Rockford can cut down on service response time for customers located in the U.S., Mexico and Canada. International service is provided by Bourn & Koch as well.
