Global Precision Parts Inc. was formed from a series of strategic acquisitions and incorporated under the new name Global Precision Parts in 2006. The family-owned company makes custom and standard machine parts at three manufacturing locations in Ottoville and East Liberty, Ohio, and in Wabash, Ind.

“Global Precision Parts has 200 highly skilled employees who make custom and standard parts on CNC, multi-spindle and rotary transfer machines,” says Todd Kriegel, president of Global Precision Parts. “The parts we make serve customers in the plumbing, HVAC, automotive, aerospace, heavy truck, tube fabrication, hydraulic fitting and munitions industries.”

The company is ISO 9001:2008 registered and machines a variety of materials based on customer specifications. Its Ottoville location is also AS9100 registered for aerospace projects.

The leadership team of Global Precision Parts is focused on delivery and availability of products when customers need them. The company’s mission is, “To exceed the expectations of our commitment through our highly skilled and dedicated team members, producing the highest quality products, on-time deliveries and superior customer service.”

Global Precision Parts joined PMPA in 1998 and continues to see positive returns on its membership.

“We participate in everything we can; PMPA membership provides a great value,” Mr. Kriegel says. “Being able to reach out to industry leaders through PMPA to learn and gain more knowledge, and as a result, be able to become essentially a better company, is really what PMPA membership is all about for us.”

Mr. Kriegel cites the open sharing of knowledge, best practices and business advice as valuable benefits of PMPA membership.

“Membership helps Global Precision Parts gain a competitive advantage and provides benefits to the company as a whole, as well as to our employees on an individual level,” Mr. Kriegel says. “Employees can improve their skill levels by attending meetings and conferences to learn about trends in the industry, new technologies and new equipment that is available, as well as how other companies might be handling new requirements or regulations.”

From a regulatory perspective, Mr. Kriegel explains that PMPA is Global Precision Parts’ go-to resource.

“PMPA is our go-to resource when it comes to needing expertise on new regulations or requirements,” says Mr. Kriegel. “Whether it’s healthcare, changes in EPA regulations or new OSHA regulations, Miles Free or Rob Kiener at PMPA are the first people we contact.”

Mr. Kriegel summarizes that PMPA membership is an asset to any company in the industry in many different areas.

“I think that business in general has become much more challenging, and the margin for error is very small,” says Mr. Kriegel. “You have to be razor sharp and on your game. In this industry, having a resource like PMPA, whether it’s the staff or the other members as allies, is invaluable.”
