Indy in May isn’t Only About Racing

Mark your calendars for May 16 and 17 to visit Technology Days at ZPS America and hitch a ride to the Indianapolis time trials. This event also marks the introduction in the U.S. of the ZPS Swiss line, so the company will have several models tooled up with parts running.

Mark your calendars for May 16 and 17 to visit Technology Days at ZPS America and hitch a ride to the Indianapolis time trials with barbeque provided on the infield. What a nice combination—a variety of production machine tools and the ability to see the end product flashing by at 200-plus mph.

Some of the machines being featured at Technology Days include a 3-inch bar capacity CNC multi-spindle with a 3-inch-diameter capacity bar feeder from Cucchi. You can’t have one without the other.

This event also marks the introduction in the U.S. of the ZPS Swiss line, so the company will have several models tooled up with parts running. Another debut is Gozio, a family-owned builder of transfer machines from Italy. The company is being introduced as a business partner of ZPS America.

Making parts is one thing, but cleaning them is quite another. Roll parts degreasers will be on display at Technology Days, as well. It’s a good time to visit Indianapolis to see machine tools and cars—two of manufacturers’ favorite things.
