PMPA Mastery Program Bus Tours Educate About Supply Chain
This unique new program offers a fun, hands-on way to learn about the precision machining supply chain.
The new PMPA Mastery Program starts with its first of three bus tours on Aug. 10-11 in Cleveland, with PMTS as its final destination of Tour 1.
Calling all engineers, machinists, purchasing agents, operation personnel and owners at PMPA member and non-member precision machining facilities! The Precision Machined Products Association (PMPA) is ready to take you on the road for a unique learning experience. The new PMPA Mastery Program offers an opportunity to dive deep into the sources and processes to equip decision-makers with a broader vision and understanding of the industry’s supply chain.
The Mastery Program, designed to help machine shop employees make smarter decisions about their own company’s processes, consists of three bus tour options throughout 2021 and 2022 that include two full days of travel to many industry facilities for a hands-on experience PMPA says will be like no other. In total, the three tours include visits to four PMPA member shops, four steel mills, one brass mill, one stainless and nickel bar and wire mill, one copper and bronze mill, one toolmaker, one machine tool builder/distributor, Ford F-150 assembly line, and the Precision Machining Technology Show (PMTS) 2021.
Each bus tour is led by industry expert and PMPA director of industry affairs, Miles Free. Free will provide instruction on the three tours that travel throughout Cleveland (Aug. 10-11, 2021), Detroit/Toledo (March 30-31, 2022) and Milwaukee/Chicago (May 3-4, 2022). Along with the knowledge and exposure to the precision machining supply chain gained on the tours, attendees will receive two reference books, hotel room stays during Tour 2 and 3, all meals and snacks, a personalized hard hat, safety glasses, and a backpack/messenger bag.
Seating is limited, so register individuals from your team soon! For information about specific bus tour stops, pricing and to register, visit the Mastery Program page on PMPA’s website.
