Chris Felix Former Editor-in-Chief

Chris Felix is the former (now retired) Editor-in-Chief of Production Machining. 

With a degree in technical writing and editing from Cincinnati State Technical and Community College, Chris began his career as an assistant editor with Modern Machine Shop magazine, eventually moving into the role of production manager. After leaving the machine tool industry for several years to run his own marketing and web design business, he returned to Gardner Business Media in 2005 as associate editor of Production Machining, and was named editor-in-chief in January 2019. 

With the Production Machining brand’s association with the Precision Machined Products Association (PMPA), Chris was a regular participant at PMPA’s national events and some regional meetings.

Chris’s monthly column, “My Turn,” provided a personal touch to his reflections on the precision machined parts industry, often relating stories of his life, friends and family to important industry developments (August 2019September 2019.)

Chris is an avid sports fan, with Cincinnati Reds baseball and University of Cincinnati football and basketball at the top of his list of team favorites.
