The team of F. Zimmermann in the USA says it will be an even stronger, more reliable partner.

F. Zimmermann GmbH, which is headquartered in Neuhausen auf den Fildern near Stuttgart, Germany, recently opened a new branch in Wixom, Michigan. The milling machine specialist, which now operates a facility covering 13,250 square feet, intends to expand its activities in the North American market. Shareholder Frieder Gänzle stressed the company’s resolve to be an even stronger and more reliable partner for its American customers.

“Demand in the American aviation and aerospace industries is continuously growing, and that is also true for the automotive industry,” says Mr. Gänzle, who cut the ribbon for his company at the opening ceremony. “By opening this new branch, we’re sending a strong message to our customers in these fast-growing industries that we will give them the best possible service.” What made the location so attractive was the proximity of numerous suppliers in the Wixom area.

Besides servicing its traditional gantry customers, the U.S. staff of 13 will also focus on the new five- and six-axis FZH400 HMCs, which are ideally suited for highly efficient machining of structural components in the aerospace industry. The team will have a spacious building at its disposal, including offices, spare parts storage, and a machine showroom. The company says customers will benefit from its local presence, fast deliveries of replacement parts and top-notch service.
