Rockford Systems offers a monthly machine safeguarding seminar on how to safeguard the point of operation and other machine hazards in the workplace. This 2½-day seminar explains how to interpret the performance language of both OSHA regulations and ANSI (American National Standards Institute) B-11 series of 24 safety standards. Specific machine safeguarding situations are also discussed.
The seminar combines classroom discussion with demonstrations of machines that are under power. Hands-on experience with these machines and visual aids, including PowerPoint slides and DVDs, are also used. This machine safeguarding seminar is held once a month in the training center at Rockford Systems in Rockford, Ill.
