Sandvik Coromant is donating $40,000 worth of metal-cutting tools to Workshops for Warriors. Workshops for Warriors is a San Diego based not-profit organization dedicated to providing free job training, certification and placement for veterans. “We are both humbled and honored to be able to contribute to such an essential organization,” says Jamie Price, president, Sandvik Coromant USA.

In 2012, Workshops for Warriors achieved 100 percent job placement on their welding class with students certified through the American Welding Society (AWS) program. Recently the organization began a National Institute of Metalworking Skills (NIMS) credentialing process for its milling, drilling and turning facilities. Good stuff!
