Christopher Hegarty Announced as New Anca Group CEO
After eight years as the Anca Group’s CEO, Grant Anderson will retire at the end of June and be succeeded by Christopher Hegarty from July 1, 2018.
Dr. Christopher Hegarty will be appointed the Anca Group CEO from July 1, 2018, succeeding Grant Anderson FCAM. After eight years in the role at Anca, Mr. Anderson will retire at the end of June. Dr. Hegarty joined the Anca Group from Switzerland in July 2017 as the engineering manager of CNC Machines and has more recently been appointed to general manager of that division.

After completing a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and an M.Sc., Dr. Hegarty completed his doctorate in electrical engineering from the University of California at Berkeley. He spent five years working for McKinsey and Company in Zurich. He has experience working for machine tool manufacturers in Europe and Australasia, including over 15 years’ experience as CEO or general manager in other organizations.
