GF Machining Solutions Appoints New Managing Director
Onik Bhattacharyya will oversee the GF Machining Solutions product portfolio for the North American market region.
GF Machining Solutions has announced the promotion of Onik Bhattacharyya to the position of managing director and head of market region North and Central Americas. In his new position, Bhattacharyya will oversee the GF Machining Solutions product portfolio, including milling, EDM, laser texturing, automation and tooling, for the North American market region.
Prior to taking this new role, Bhattacharyya was one of the founders of Microlution Inc., a company that was acquired by GF Machining Solutions in 2016. At Microlution Inc., he served as the company’s head of global sales, then transitioned into the position of managing director in 2022.
“Customer satisfaction has and always will be the driving force behind GF Machining Solutions,” Bhattacharyya says. “We will continue to strengthen our support of complex project solutions that encompass milling, EDM and laser systems as well as pre- and post-processing operations and automation along with process monitoring, data collection and more.”
Additionally, the company has appointed Nick Martin as its North American business development manager.
In the role, Martin will be tasked with ensuring that medical customers have access to GF Machining Solutions’ high-speed milling, EDM, laser texturing and automation technology, as well as the rest of company’s products and services.
Martin is said to bring significant medical market experience to his new position. Prior to joining GF Machining Solutions, he was director of engineering for medical contract manufacturer Arch Medical Solutions, where he analyzed market trends, monitored customer needs, directed new product design, improved production techniques and developed test procedures.
