Hexagon Held Grand Opening of Solution Center

Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence hosted a grand opening at its Hexagon HeSolution Center in Irvine, California at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 11, 2018. The HxGN LOCAL event was held at 9004 Research Drive, Irvine, California 92618. The Grand Opening ceremony was preceded by a special PC-DMIS Users’ Group meeting held from 7:30 a.m.–11 a.m. that featured an exclusive preview of the latest PC-DMIS software release developed to improve productivity by embedding quality throughout the product lifecycle. The 15,500-square-foot facility is the company's second Solution Center located in California, in addition to its Oceanside production facility.

The center is strategically situated with easy highway access to five major counties. The site features a technology demonstration room, software training facilities, a Leica laser tracker calibration laboratory, and offices for project engineers, applications engineers, sales and support personnel. 

Attendees at the PC-DMIS Users’ Group received a private viewing of PC-DMIS 2018 R1 before its public release on January 17, 2018. The informational program included a What’s New report, an interactive Question & Answer session, and the first public demonstration of PC-DMIS 2018 R1.

The Grand Opening began at 11 a.m. with lunch, an official ribbon cutting ceremony and opening remarks. The technical program resumed with a technology showcase inclusive of Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence solutions. Participants experienced first-hand a full range of live measurement demonstrations and applications of Leica Absolute Trackers, ROMER Absolute Arms, portable scanning solutions and stationary CMMs. Hexagon experts were available throughout the afternoon for consulting and questions.
