Blue Photon's Adhesive Workholding System is Photo-Activated
Blue Photon's workholding grippers are a load-bearing, light-transmitting fixture component that locks the part in place for machining.
Blue Photon’s photo-activated adhesive workholding system is suited for complex-shaped, hard-to-hold parts, and delicate materials such as ceramic and laminated composites. Each gripper supplies up to 605 lbs of tensile holding power while the Bluegrip workholding adhesive is said to easily hold any part that is at risk for distortion from mechanical clamps or that pose complications in fixture design and tool access.
Blue Photon's workholding grippers are a load-bearing, light-transmitting fixture component that locks the part in place for machining. Multiple sizes are designed to hold small to large-size workpieces. The grippers insert into a fixture, Bluegrip adhesive secures the workpiece to the grippers and ultraviolet light is transmitted through the core of the gripper for 60-second workholding.
