Henning ERP System Offers Enhanced Touch Scheduling Board
IMTS 2022: Visual EstiTrack improves shop management through its Touch Scheduling Board which helps personnel manage a variety of different tasks, including compliance standards and work prioritization.
Henning Industrial Software has updated its Visual EstiTrack ERP shop management system with an enhanced Touch Scheduling Board and iVET mobile phone/tablet application. The company says its ERP system is an integrated, feature-rich, shop management system for managing estimates, sales orders, shop orders, time collection, job costing, shipping and invoicing, visual scheduling, inventory management, purchasing and receiving.
The Touch Scheduling Board is designed to emulate and replace the magnetic scheduling boards often found in shops. This planning/scheduling tool can be deployed on large touchscreen monitors on the shop floor and is fully integrated into the Visual EstiTrack ERP to make it easier for shopfloor personnel to prioritize operations, view/set statuses (Waiting for Setup/Tooling, Material, First Article Inspection plus On Quality Hold, On Customer Hold, Is Late, Is Late Customer Called and Operation Complete), move operations from one work center to another and enable employees to clock in and out of shop order operations from the scheduling board.
The scheduling board has new features that enable users to flag parts that require aerospace, heat and/or International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) control to help ensure proper shopfloor compliance handling. The scheduling board is said to use an intuitive drag-and-drop touchscreen interface which enables users to schedule shop order operations (represented as cards) within and between work centers represented as swim columns.
The iVET mobile app is an optional mobile add-on application to the company’s Visual EstiTrack. The app is designed to run on most mobile devices including iPhone, iPad and Google Android-based phones/tablets. The company says the app gives customers an easy-to-use, convenient, touchscreen-based mobile interface to the Visual EstiTrack ERP system. The employee portal gives users the ability to see the shop schedule and clock in and out of jobs. An additional key feature is its ability to directly invoke phone call dialing and SMS (text messages, emails and map/GPS features of the mobile phone device).
