Aeroex’s Mist-Fit line of compact, yet powerful mist collectors is designed to effectively remove harmful airborne particulates such as high-pressure coolant and and oil applications. According to the company, the progressive filtration technology reduces maintenance needs while the fibered depth loading filters deliver clean air with high efficiency.
The Mist-Fit MF-550 Oil Mist Collector is well suited for high-pressure coolant and oil applications, with the oil draining back to the CNC machine. With a footprint of 15" × 15", the collector is simple to install machine mounted, offering a direct mount without suction hose for a clean factory look.
The machine can eliminate mist, smoke and fine particles. The modular design makes the Mist-Fit versatile, so users can add options as needed. The machine offers multistage progressive separation. An optional Pre-Filter Box, filters oil and heavy mist, and is recommended for Swiss screw machines.
A first-stage Mechanical Element separates up to 90% of the oil mist and swarf. The smooth metal surfaces quickly drains fluid back to the sump. The second-stage Demister Element supports the first stage to ensure up to 95% of the mist and swarf are removed with washable filters. The third-stage Fiber Bed mist filter is depth loading that capture small mist
particles. With a filter rating of MERV 15, it can be used without a HEPA filter on most applications.
And optional fourth stage HEPA Filter captures submicron mist, smoke and bacteria. The company says the HEPA filter is made with heavy-duty filter media — no other product holds as much or lasts as long.
