PowRgrip Accessories Control Chip Removal
Rego-Fix introduced several additions and accessories to its toolholding line.
Rego-Fix introduced several additions and accessories to its PowRgrip (PG) toolholding line. These include different collet sizes and styles, an optional feature for its ER floating toolholder line and a tool assembly assistant called Torco-Block.
The company’s PG 15 0.500" and 12-mm collets represent a thin-walled collet style that maximizes tool size holding capability. Previously, 0.5"-diameter tools required the use of larger size PG 25 collets, while the new PG 15 collets now offer the same holding capacity.
HSK 20E and HSK 125 PG 32 XL toolholders further expand the company’s system line and excel in applications that require large-diameter, long-length tools, according to the company. In addition to these holders, the company also introduced SK +40 holders and Rego+ holders in the European SK 40 taper.
For its floating line, coolant-through mini floating holders are showcased. With this option, shops gain all the benefits of internal coolant capability: chip control, long tool life and superior surface finishes, the company says.
The tool assembly assistant features a built-in torque meter that eliminates the need for an individual torque wrench for every toolholder as well as the detrimental results of excessive runout from over torquing, the company says. The assistant includes interchangeable indicator rings for different ER series holders, and its quick-change function for different taper interfaces requires only one 0.160" (4-mm) Allen key. The assistant fits in a compact 6.690 × 10.630" (170 x 270 mm) space and accommodates full or overhang mounting on a workbench.
