Firetrace International’s Next-Generation Pressure Switch Module is a critical component of an effective fire suppression system. The primary purpose of a pressure switch module is to monitor the health of a fire suppression system and detect system activation. If the pressure switch identifies that the Firetrace system has activated, it initiates machine shutdown, activation of alarms and other essential operations. Actions, such as shutting down the machine and sounding an alarm, can prevent further damage to the machine and keep personnel safe.

The company has made improvements to its latest switch module. It has streamlined the installation process and provides multiple options to fit the needs of users’ machines and operations, including an integrated end-of-line adapter for ease of installation.

Other improvements include a bypass key switch to minimize downtime after a discharge and a bulkhead slip-on connection enabling the use of whichever tube-to-thread connection is best for the installation.

There are three different mounting methods available: directly mounted to the threaded inserts located on the back of the module; attached magnets to threaded inserts to remove the need for drilling mounting holes; and using flanges attached to the threaded inserts for when using self-tapping screws is most suitable. There is also an extra label for vertical orientation, helping to keep information easily readable.
