The Rego-Fix reCool coolant-through system is said to be a low-maintenance way to add the benefits of internal cooling to the live tooling used in CNC turning operations to small-part production. These benefits are said to be especially useful on high-volume Swiss-style machines.

The toolholders convert existing systems to include through coolant in as little as two minutes, according to the company. The system is said to send coolant to the cutting edge more effectively than external spray pipes or nozzles. The miniature toolholders apply to spindle speeds as fast as 12,000 rpm and deliver coolant pressure by as much as 1,000 psi (higher speeds and coolant pressures are optional).

According to the company, manufacturers who add this system to their CNC turning operations will remove heat from the cutting zone while achieving better surface finishes, longer tool life, improved chip control and increased overall productivity. Furthermore, because of its design and lubricated bearings it is said to be a low-maintenance internal cooling system that provides cooling of the cutting edge with either emulsion or oil and without scattering or spray losses.
