SW North America says its BA 322i horizontal machining center enables manufacturers to achieve double production output while reducing floor space and energy consumption. The horizontal twin-spindle machining center is said to produce twice the output as a single-spindle, yet only uses about half of the square footage and energy as two single-spindle machines.
The HMC has an integrated robot and loading module, and can function as an independent manufacturing cell with enough storage capacity for an entire shift. The double swivel carrier can load and unload while machining, and the box-in-box, 3-axis unit with monoblock design offers rigidity and stability for precision.
With a work area of 300 × 450 × 375 mm on the X-, Y- and Z-axis, this plug-and-play solution is well suited for machining impellers, brake calipers, scroll compressors, ABS valve bodies, medical instruments and more.
