YG-1’s Blue Ring Tap lineup features 28 individual tap bundles including spiral-flute and spiral-point taps in inch and metric sizes. The taps feature an optimized geometry and the company’s hardslick coating that is also said to provide longer tool life. The taps are said to enable high productivity in HSS-PM material through smooth chip evacuation and have the ability to handle high spindle speeds. Additionally, each kit features a carbide Dream Drill, sized for the taps provided in each bundle. The tap bundles come packaged as a six-pack in a foam-mounted display cup.
