An online interactive training tool for CNC instruction is available from Heidenhain Corporation, supplier of precision measurement components and systems. HIT (Heidenhain Interactive Training) was designed to create an informative yet entertaining learning experience, teach the most important elements of a CNC machine, and impart fundamental knowledge about CNC programming.

HIT is intended for those interested in CNC qualification, as well as students and teachers who are interested in obtaining expert materials about CNC programming and machine operation. The program is available for download in a variety of languages.

The learning solution is made up of three modules: the HIT software, an online Heidenhain programming station, and the HIT workbook, providing a relevant learning solution for qualified basic and advanced CNC training. The program can also be useful for people who are unfamiliar with CNC fundamentals, including vocational school students as well as those being retrained or master craftsmen who want to improve their machinists’ skills. It is designed to simplify the beginning steps of programming by combining theoretical training with practical exercises.

A free demo version and single and multiple licenses are available for download.
