AWC Frac Valve (Conroe, Texas) manufactures very large valves for the oil and gas industry and generates chips the size of cornflakes in the process. Working with 4130 steel, the change in tooling completely eliminated sudden edge failures that previously had interrupted production and forced a lot of re-working.
