Bar Feeder Offers Simple, Fast, Silent Automation

IEMCA developed the bar feeder in conjunction with Davenport Inc. to create a multi-spindle bar feeder to suit Davenport multi-spindle machines.
Bucci Industries’ IEMCA Next 25 is an automatic bar feeder for multi-spindle lathes. It can be completely integrated to replace the stock reel.
IEMCA developed the bar feeder in conjunction with Davenport Inc. to create a multi-spindle bar feeder to suit Davenport multi-spindle machines. For instance, the bar feeder can be integrated with a Davenport Hybrid machine, replacing the standard stock reel with 5 polyurethane guide channels for Davenport’s 5 spindles, providing the lathe with a side-loading bar magazine (for a reduced footprint) and automatic bar loading for unattended operations.
It is able to handle bars with diameters between 5/32" (4 mm) and 1" (25 mm) and lengths between 9'4" (2,850 mm) and 13'9" (4,200 mm). The bar feeder is very compact for a reduced footprint. It is also high-performing and suitable for making the most of the lathe, ensuring ease of use.
The Next 25 offers high rotational speeds (more than 10,000 rpm) and fast, unattended bar changes with high indexing and silent performance. All of these features are said to translate into a considerable increase in productivity.
