Laser Scan Micrometer Delivers Accuracy
Mitutoyo America Corp. releases the LSM-6902H laser scan micrometer to its sensor systems product line.
Mitutoyo America Corp.’s LSM-6902H laser scan micrometer is a non-contact, high-accuracy measurement system said to be especially useful for measuring pin gages or plug gages.
The scanning motor in the system enables measurement accuracy down to 0.3 micron with gage R&R performance since measurements are non-contact. The standard output is RS-232C with analog I/O with an optional two-channel digimatic code output unit available. Other features include an accuracy of ±0.5 micron over the measuring range, repeatability of 25 mm per 1" class, resolution from 0.01 to 10 mircons (0.000001"- 0.0005"), a scanning rate of 1,600 scans per second and a scanning speed of 112 meters per second.
