Monaghan Taps Maintain Tight Tolerances
Vergnano P-Series high-performance taps are designed to enable increased speed while ensuring the structural integrity of critical components.
Monaghan Tooling Group’s Vergnano P-Series of high-performance taps are designed for demanding applications in difficult-to-machine materials. The taps are manufactured with powdered metal and physical vapor deposition (PVD) coatings. Available as both cutting and forming taps, in sizes from 1 - 40 mm (0.0393" - 1.5748"), with thread types M, MF, UNC, UNF and G. Vergnano P-Series high-performance taps enable increased speed while maintaining tight tolerances and ensuring the structural integrity of the critical components. Vergnano taps create threaded holes with speed, precision and reliability, making them well suited for automotive, aerospace, heavy equipment, agriculture and general applications.
TAppFinder, an interactive, online resource helps users with tap selection based on materials to be machined, hole type, tap type, thread type and tolerance. With an extensive selection of over 5,500 standard taps, Vergnano can address a variety of applications. In addition to standard taps, they can design and manufacture custom taps for specific applications with short lead times.
Vergnano manufactures over two million taps a year in its 161,000 square foot (15,000 square meters) factory located in Chieri, Italy. All products are manufactured start-to-finish, in-house. The company says it controls all phases of production, from receipt of bar stock through advanced coating.
