MW35 Turning Center Reduces Cycle Times

The Muratec MW35 from Murata Machinery was designed to reduce cycle times. With a spindle speed range of 6,000 rpm and 3.7 kW drive motor, the machine can deliver parts in less than 3 seconds, according to the company. In addition to its speeds, this machine’s two spindles enable it to perform simultaneous operations from a single, self-contained source. The machine handles workpieces as large as 30 mm × 75 mm and as heavy as 0.5 kg. The machine comes with a gang-type tool plate, built-in workpiece ejector and a servo-controlled, high-speed, swing-type loader, all of which are designed to reduce part-to-part cycle time.
