SmartCAM v2018 Software Delivers Adaptive Roughing Strategy
SmartCAMcn’s SmartCAM v2018 delivers adaptive rough milling technology, improved feed rate control and numerous other core additions found in all products.
SmartCAMcnc’s SmartCAM v2018 addition to the computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software family is said to deliver adaptive rough milling technology in the Advanced Milling, SmartCAM FreeForm Machining and SmartCAM Advanced Turning applications; verification modules in SmartCAM Advanced Fabrication and SmartCAM Advanced Wire EDM; and improved feed rate control and numerous other core additions found in all products.
SmartCAM core Improvements Include: feed rate capability and flexibility have been expanded with several changes that provide control of toolpath feed rates; a CAD/process plan list view that visually separates the CAD geometry from the CAM toolpath geometry; an updated solid modeling kernel, with SmartCAM v2018 including the most-current ACIS 2018 Solid Modeling kernel; and updated data translators, with SmartCAM v2018 including updated CAD data translators for Pro-E/Creo 4.0 and ACIS SAT/SAB R2018 data files.
