600 UK’s Swiss distributor, Josef Binkert AG, supported by Colchester and Harrison training lathes, have been contributing to engineering training throughout Switzerland for more than 50 years. Recently the company continued this support through the WorldSkills competition national championships, “Swiss Skills Berne.”
Josef Binkert AG again supplied a number of the Colchester Triumph VS center lathes for the Swiss Skills championships. As a further example of its continuing support for education and training throughout Switzerland, the company has recently replaced and upgraded existing machinery at the prestigious apprentice training school, Swissmechanic Training Organization, with a number of Colchester Master VS 3250 variable speed center lathes.
The Colchester center lathes supplied to these training organizations in Switzerland further demonstrate Colchester’s continuing commitment to apprentice training and industrial education sectors worldwide.
Howard Bamforth, 600 UK’s Sales Director, says, “We are very proud of our long association with Josef Binkert AG who have always been at the forefront of education in the extremely influential Swiss machine tool market. Supplying Colchester lathes enables today’s talented apprentices to become the highly skilled engineers of tomorrow by raising their competency on the outstanding quality, reliability and value that the Colchester lathe range gives to all our customers.”
