Mazak’s HQR-150MSY multitasking turning center features a twin-spindle, twin-turret design for part-processing and high-volume throughput. In addition to its main turning spindle, the machine also features a second spindle, bolt-on tooling turret with rotary milling spindle and Y-axis off-centerline capabilities for done-in-one production.

The turning center uses the company’s Mazatrol SmoothG control, which offers EIA/ISO programming as well as conversational programming that enables easy generation of programs for angled drilling, milling or tapping operations. The control also features advanced hardware and software functions that are said to ensure high-productivity and performance accuracy in complex part production.
