Haimer Power Clamp Shrink Fit System Reduces Cycle Times
System enables smooth and clean cooling to reduce shrinking and cooling cycle times.
Haimer’s Power Clamp i4.0 Shrink Fit System
Haimer’s Power Clamp i4.0 Shrink Fit System is designed to offer greater digital connectivity and communication between tools and machines. The company says the system’s ergonomic shrinking station has an NG coil that is well-suited for all solid carbide and HSS tools ranging from 3 to 32 mm in diameter. It also comes with intuitive, easy-to-use software and a shopfloor-ready 7" touch display that can be operated with thin work gloves.
According to the company, the compact Power Clamp Air i4.0 (in both economic and comfort versions) enables smooth and clean cooling for all kinds of shrink-fit chucks and shrink-fit collets, regardless of the outside contour, using air nozzles and drizzle — all without leaving dirt and water residue. An LED temperature control is designed to ensure even greater process reliability. Haimer also offers an optional motorized coil and scanner that reads out shrinking parameters from data matrix codes to ensure reliable, easy and automated shrinking.
