Keyence Multi-Sensor Measuring System Targets Quality Control in Metrology
IMTS 2024: Keyence introduces the LM-X Series Multisensor measurement system for high-performance measurement, automated inspection processes, accuracy and quality control.
Keyence introduces the LM-X Series Multisensor measurement system for quality control and metrology applications. The system offers three different measurement methods for fast, simple and high-accuracy measurement. The system can help fully inspect parts using an ultra-high-resolution camera for ±0.7 μm accuracy, a multi-color laser for instant noncontact height measurement and a touch probe for 3D or optically challenging features.
Regardless of operator, the system can automatically adjust focus, lighting and measurement criteria to measure up to 5,000 locations on a part and batch measurement of up to 1,000 identical parts at the same time, which is said to lead to five times faster inspections than conventional measurement methods. The company says users can reduce manual measurements, offload time-consuming measurements from CMMs or address skilled labor challenges with this tool.
The LM-X Series is the advanced-capability model of IM Series Instant Measurement System and can aid with prototype, first article, in-process, pre-shipping, incoming and final inspections.
